The pioneer in self inflating solar light, Solight Design, was founded in 2009 as an answer to the dangers of kerosene used by poor nations after natural disasters. Solight Design has refreshed their current Kickstarter campaign to help bring much needed light to Haiti again.  Consider pledging and consider using their products as an alternative to candles or kerosene lamps.
